Buzz Lightyear’s color scheme has been added around the entrance to Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin in Magic Kingdom.
Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin Painting

Where painter’s tape outlined the archway last week, there is now bright purple and green paint. Directly around the doors is a light shade of gray. Three painter’s tape “X”s remain on a white section, maybe marking where signage will be installed.

The entrance was painted solid white earlier this month. Decorative elements had already been removed in January, followed by paint stripping and new concrete.

The sliding glass entrance doors and windows also got new decals. The side windows were previously adorned with green and yellow versions of the Space Rangers logo while the doors were blank. When the ride closed last August, it got solid space decals reading “Operations Suspended.”
The windows now have light blue and black versions of the logo against a striped background resembling the doors of a spaceship.

There is an “X” above the doors and one “X” on either side. The brand-new sign structure in front of the entrance was installed a few weeks ago, followed by queue handrails, red light poles, and safety signage.

Cast member previews of Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin began last week. It will officially reopen on April 8.
We got to preview the updated attraction. Check out our photos from inside or watch our video below.
