More of the former Star Wars Launch Bay building at Disney’s Hollywood Studios has been painted beige. The building will soon house a new version of its opening-day attraction, The Magic of Disney Animation, while the surrounding Animation Courtyard is becoming The Walt Disney Studios.

The large columns at the center of the building’s facade were painted beige about a week ago. Now the overhang on the right side is the same color. A strip of the walls on both sides is also a pale yellow-beige.

The beige overhang is partially hidden by trees, which were added to Animation Courtyard several weeks ago. The railings on both overhangs were also painted green this week.
As Star Wars Launch Bay, the building was shades of gray and black.

The construction walls in the area have also been moved forward slightly. The walls curve in front of the theater housing The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure and the outdoor shop. They previously extended further down, closer to the animation building.

There are signs of pavement work in front of the theater, too. There is scoring in the pavement, which means it will likely be torn up soon. A metal panel covers a patch next to the construction walls.

Scoring are cuts in the pavement that make it easier to remove.
The show and shop remain open, but the soundstage exterior was painted. The building will be renamed Studio Theater.
Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live! and consequently the courtyard will open on May 26. Disney has not announced an opening date for The Magic of Disney Animation. The attraction will include six new meet and greets, an art class hosted by Olaf (instead of live artists), and a playground inspired by Mary Blair’s Alice in Wonderland concept art.
