During our March 19, 2026, visit to Disney California Adventure, we saw Grizzly River Run filled with water again.

Grizzly River Run closed back in January for an extensive refurbishment that included installing new logs, touching up the rock facade of Grizzly Peak, and repainting the ride’s observation platform. During today’s visit, we noticed that rapids and waterfalls were all running again.

The entire river throughout the ride has also been completely filled with water.

Over at the passenger loading area, we could see the ride's rafts again.

Though the rafts were now brought back out, they were not being tested through the ride, just floating on the water.

Decorative wood construction walls continue to surround the ride during the refurbishment.

There is still currently no reopening date for Grizzly River Run listed on Disney California Adventure’s ride calendar, which goes out as far as April 29, 2026.
