Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge will be featured on the next episode of Imagineering’s “Pardon Our Pixie Dust” video series.
Lakeshore Lodge Teased
In the video, posted to Walt Disney Imagineering’s official Instagram account, we see a large wooden-like structure next to a water slide. The Imagineer says, “Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. How’d you get behind these construction walls? Get otter here.”
The accompanying caption says:
One way or an otter, you’re gonna want to tune in to the next episode of Pardon Our Pixie Dust on YouTube August 25!
The Wetlands will be the sprawling outdoor recreation space at Disney Lakeshore Lodge. This area encompasses the beauty of the nature around it through its wetlands-inspired aesthetic. Each area was inspired by a different element of Disney storytelling.
Each of the areas will also have certain activities for guests of varying ages:
- Daydream River – the area’s lazy river
- Heron Shores – hands-on play with climbing features
- Otter Springs – interactive water features for young kids to splash and slide
We may have already seen the items staged at the construction site from our last update (pictured above). You can see what appears to be the wooden structure (perhaps an otter?) and water slide near the center of the photo.
The video premieres on August 25.
In 2018, Disney announced Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Lodge. However, construction was stalled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The resort was thought to be canceled before Disney resurrected the project as Disney Lakeshore Lodge in 2024.
It will be a fully Disney Vacation Club resort “inspired by the majesty of nature and its enduring influence on Disney artists,” including a lazy river in The Wetlands pool area.
Lakeshore Lodge is set to open in the summer of 2027.
