Disney’s Hollywood Studios
- Disney is making a slight adjustment to the virtual queue process for one of the most popular experiences at Walt Disney World, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance in Disney’s Hollywood Studios
- Steve Tyler may have requested a super stretch limo, but that doesn’t mean you’re guaranteed any social distancing aboard Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, as every row of the popular Disney’s Hollywood Studios attraction is now being loaded to improve on capacity and wait times
- Similarly, Slinky Dog Dash, which was previously loading every other row, is now loading guests into every row, regardless of whether or not they are in the same party
- One of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge’s many quirks is its soda-themed droid carts and while Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disney’s Hollywood Studios has only ever had the regular Coca-Cola carts, featuring a red R5 droid, it seems that now a Diet Coke cart and droid have made their way across the galaxy to Walt Disney World
Walt Disney World Resort Hotels
- It’s out with the clown and in with the new as Walt Disney Imagineering has shared a first look at the all-new Keister Coaster water slide design at Disney’s BoardWalk Resort, featuring Mickey and friends in a style akin to the new animated shorts, similar to Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway
- Walt Disney World has announced that Disney’s Wilderness Lodge will be officially reopening to guests on June 6
- Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort has had its reopening delayed, and it’s now set to reopen on March 22 at Walt Disney World
- Disney’s Beach Club Resort, which was originally scheduled to fully reopen on August 29, 2020, will now be reopening on May 30, 2021 and guests can begin booking their stay today
Other Walt Disney World News
- When the Walt Disney World theme parks reopened back in July, the popular merchandise services often used by guests, like Merchandise Pick-Up and Resort Hotel Delivery, were unavailable due to COVID-19 guidelines but just in time for the holidays (and only for a limited time), Merchandise Pick-Up is returning to the parks
- The Magic of Disney store at Orlando International Airport has reopened with social distancing, and we have your full photo tour here
- Recently, guests have been able to catch glimpses of the Electrical Water Pageant floats staged by the dock, and tonight, they were testing with both lights and music on
Tokyo Disney Resort
- One year ago, Tokyo Disneyland said goodbye its longest running show in its history, One Man’s Dream II: The Magic Lives On, but the magic can live on for you with this full video of the show that celebrated the legacy of Walt Disney through his characters, from animals singing and dancing to the main mouse himself, Mickey Mouse
New Merchandise
- The latest Tomica die cast vehicle from Tokyo Disney Resort has been announced—Pooh’s Hunny Hunt, fresh off its 20th anniversary, will get one with a special (albeit funny-looking) figurine in stores December 16th
- Now you can quench your galactic thirst with the new Paddy Frog souvenir sipper at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, modeled after Jabba the Hutt’s bubbling drink from Return of the Jedi
- Walt Disney World released several new pins today, including a collection of Star Wars pins by Her Universe, Christmas and New Year pins, and more
- Now you can take home your very own Dianoga, courtesy of the Creature Stall in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney Parks (or in this case, at Downtown Disney District)
