Walt Disney World
Magic Kingdom
- The Mad Hatter and Cheshire Cat Disney Fab 50 Character Collection Statues arrived at Magic Kingdom.
- With Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary getting closer, the lampposts on Main Street, U.S.A. begin to receive gold accents.
- The Main Street Railroad Station had its final scrim and planters removed in time for the 50th Anniversary.
- While Big Top Souvenirs recently reopened in the Magic Kingdom, its entrance sign was still missing until today with its return.
- Even more of the gold statues of the Disney Fab 50 Character Collection are being installed, including favorites such as Stitch, Pinocchio and more!
- As refurbishment for parts of Splash Mountain are completed, scaffolding is being removed.
- In Tomorrowland, an archway piece was installed above the TRON Lightcycle Run Coaster entrance.
- The refurbishment of the Frontierland boardwalk neared completion with the walls around Country Bear Jamboree being removed.
- The colorful makeover of “it’s a small world” at Magic Kingdom continues on to the walls and archways.
EPCOT
- The first of ten “Mouse as Muse” Mickey sculptures were revealed at Creations Shop in EPCOT.
Walt Disney World Resort Hotels
- Following a lengthy refurbishment, the main entrance to the Great Ceremonial House at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort has reopened.
Other Walt Disney World News
- Pianist Scotty Kilwein announced on Facebook Live tonight that Jellyrolls at the boardwalk at the EPCOT Resort Area will reopen in mid-October.
- Walt Disney World is hosting a job fair looking for housekeeping, culinary, custodial, and more positions, with some including $1,000 new hire bonus.
- Food and beverage provider Sodexo informed their Cast Members that Walt Disney World will no longer be offering the benefits, such as tickets and discounts to them.
- Walt Disney World theme park operating hours have been extended for select dates in September and October.
Disneyland Resort
- Our Photo Report walks through some of the newest developments happening at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure lately.
- Select merchandise locations with candy kitchens will now offer mobile order service at the Disneyland Resort with Walt Disney World’s version coming soon.
- To celebrate the upcoming holidays this year, Disneyland Park will host a brand-new event: Disney Merriest Nites.
- Shortly after announcing their new limited-ticket event, Disney Merriest Nites, the Disneyland website updated to include pricing and new details.
- Three new villains debuted this year for Oogie Boogie Bash at Disney California Adventure: Agatha Harkness from “WandaVision,” Sid from “Toy Story,” and Cruella from “Cruella.”
- At the Oogie Boogie Bash in Disney California Adventure, Magic Key Holders can have a “Hocus Pocus” photo op.

- Parades are officially back at the Disneyland Resort with the return of the Frightfully Fun Parade during Oogie Boogie Bash 2021!

Tokyo Disney Resort

- New phone cases and magnets for Captain America and Spider-Man are now available in Tomorrowland Light & Power Co. in Magic Kingdom.
- D23 reveals limited edition ‘The Vacation Kingdom of the World’ pin set featuring Goofy, Dreamfinder, Rizzo the Rat, and more.
- We brought you photos of a new Disney Parks Dooney & Bourke collection featuring art by Jerrod Maruyama, available starting Monday, September 13, at Walt Disney World.
- Disney revealed new details about the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Vault Collection.

It’ll be interesting to see how that denial of benefits to third party cast works out. I think it’s a cheap shot at the people who served them and their guests. All on stage and working together to make the experience should get the same benefits.
Also, where are our parades at WDW??? Are they holding something back? A surprise? One can only hope. Right now, DL looks more fun to be at.
