PHOTOS: Special “New Dreams, More Fun” Food Featuring Baymax Revealed for Tokyo Disneyland

The New Fantasyland expansion at Tokyo Disneyland is almost upon us! To be exact, we’re just 55 short days away from the incredible grand opening! Since we’re inching closer and closer, the Oriental Land Company gave us a sneak peek at the special commemorative food coming to Tokyo Disneyland for the celebration. There’s also an adorable Baymax popcorn bucket themed to The Happy Ride with Baymax’s ride vehicles! Let’s take a closer look at these new menu items, because some of them look pretty incredible! And if you’re looking for the food coming to the New Fantasyland restaurants, we previously showed those off in December.

Table Service

Blue Bayou Restaurant

Over at Blue Bayou, we’ve got a special course coming April 8th through June 29th! For Â¥4300 ($38.60), you’ll get three special courses. For hors d’oeuvres, there’s marinated salmon trout with beef mousse and cajun tortilla, served with prosciutto and cream cheese walnuts. The main course, as always, is roast beef, this time with a green pepper sauce. And for dessert, a crepe with passion fruit mousse and mascarpone cream. Sounds delicious!

Center Street Coffeehouse

Over at the Center Street Coffeehouse, looks like the dessert set we saw with Very Very Minnie will be changed up a bit. Now between 1:00PM-6:00PM for Â¥1080, you can get this special pancake set. The berry pancake set also comes with a Baymax mochi topper, also seen on the special souvenir pudding item. I can’t wait for this one! This set will be available from April 8th, 2020 through January 7th, 2021 (excluding June 1st-September 2nd, 2020)

Counter Service

Hungry Bear Restaurant – Â¥1480 ($13.29)

Oh my gosh, it’s so cute! Over at Hungry Bear in Westernland, this Baymax Curry features spicy chicken wings and gyoza. And rice Baymax is literally bathing in the curry like it’s a hot tub! This will definitely be one for the Instagram, I think. The Baymax Curry will be available from April 8th, 2020 through March 24th, 2021.

Sweetheart Cafe – Â¥1070 ($9.61)

TDL NewDreamsFood 8.jpg?auto=compress%2Cformat&fit=scale&h=750&ixlib=php 1.2

Our love-hate relationship with Sweetheart Cafe’s sandwich set appears to continue with the new Special Set. From April 8th through May 31st, you can enjoy this chicken and egg sandwich with Baymax-themed cream bread, peach jelly, and your choice of soft drink. I’m cautiously optimistic about this one, honestly. But I’m definitely intrigued by the Baymax cream bread!

Refreshment Corner – Â¥990 ($8.89)

Now this is certainly a different type of hot dog. Reminds me a bit of the Yucatan Dog over at Tokyo DisneySea, don’t you think? And get a load of that gorgeous wrapper too! But what’s inside may surprise you a bit. It’s a hot dog… with apple, cinnamon, and nuts inside. And I’m honestly not sure how to react to that! From April 8th through September 2nd, you can take the plunge if you dare and try this rather unconventional meal.

Snacks, Desserts, & Souvenir Items

Cream Cheese Curry Mochi – Â¥430 ($3.86)

TDL NewDreamsFood 5.jpg?auto=compress%2Cformat&fit=scale&h=666&ixlib=php 1.2

Over at Magical Market in Fantasyland, you’ll find these three mochi balls. However, unlike the famous Little Green Men mochi, these aren’t filled with sweets. Instead, they come with keema, tomato sauce, and onion. A rather savory compliment to those sweet mochi, I’d imagine. Plus they’ve got Mrs. Potts and Chip, Cogsworth, and Lumiere on them! For Â¥430, you can pick these up from April 8th, 2020 through March 24th, 2021.

Sparkling Berry & Cream Cheese Tapioca Tea – Â¥600 ($5.39)

TDL NewDreamsFood 10.jpg?auto=compress%2Cformat&fit=scale&h=750&ixlib=php 1.2

Ah, another in Tokyo Disneyland’s long line of strange drink combinations. This time, a berry/cream-cheese combination with a souvenir Baymax sleeve delights over at Tomorrowland Terrace! I’m always interested in trying these combinations, because some (like the popcorn soda) turn out to be incredible! You can get just the drink for Â¥600, or with the souvenir sleeve for Â¥1100.  But better be quick, it’s only available from April 8th through May 31st!

Sparkling Mixed Fruit Drink – Â¥450 ($4.04)

TDL NewDreamsFood 7.jpg?auto=compress%2Cformat&fit=scale&h=750&ixlib=php 1.2

If you’re feeling less adventurous, a simple sparkling mixed fruit drink will be available at several outlets throughout Tokyo Disneyland! Plus it has this adorable printed cup design celebrating the New Fantasyland expansion! And if you’re in to souvenir sleeves, this one has a special one to match the Tokyo Disneyland 2020 merchandise line as well. For Â¥450 on its own or Â¥950 with the sleeve, you can pick this up from April 8th through September 2nd at Boiler Room Bites, Camp Woodchuck Kitchen, Captain Hook’s Galley, and Huey, Dewey, & Louie’s Good Time Cafe.

Strawberry Mousse with Souvenir Cup – Â¥800

TDL NewDreamsFood 6.jpg?auto=compress%2Cformat&fit=scale&h=750&ixlib=php 1.2

I was getting a bit nervous about no new souvenir desserts for a minute! Fortunately, this adorable dessert is our savior. Featuring strawberry mousse and topped with a Baymax mochi as well as a mug celebrating the new Fantasyland expansion, you can’t go wrong with this one! You’ll find this through September 2nd at Sweetheart Cafe, Hungry Bear Restaurant, Grandma Sara’s Kitchen, Captain Hook’s Galley, Tomorrowland Terrace, and Plazma Ray’s Diner.

Caramel Cupcake with Souvenir Plate – Â¥800

TDL NewDreamsFood 1.jpg?auto=compress%2Cformat&fit=scale&h=750&ixlib=php 1.2

Taking a break from the largely Baymax-themed items, this caramel cupcake features the infamous rose adorning the top in icing, as well as a plate depicting the iconic dance between Belle and the Beast. This will be available from April 8th through September 2nd at Sweetheart Cafe, Hungry Bear Restaurant, Grandma Sara’s Kitchen, Captain Hook’s Galley, Tomorrowland Terrace, Pan Galactic Pizza Port, and Plazma Ray’s Diner.

Souvenir Plate – Â¥1000

TDL NewDreamsFood 9.jpg?auto=compress%2Cformat&fit=scale&h=749&ixlib=php 1.2

This adorable souvenir tray follows the design language of the New Dreams, More Fun merchandise line, with designs for Mickey’s Magical Music World, Minnie’s Style Studio, The Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast, and The Happy Ride with Baymax! And you can add it to your meal order at Center Street Coffeehouse, Plaza Pavilion, Grandma Sara’s Kitchen, and Huey, Dewey, & Louie’s Good Time Cafe through March 24th, 2021!
