- TRON fans eagerly awaiting a trip into the grid may be disappointed by today’s update on TRON Lightcycle / Run’s construction as the removal of temporary supports from the canopy frame seems to have slowed, though there was much afoot on the worksite today
- Two more turret-cap decorations have been placed on Cinderella Castle in Magic Kingdom, which is being decorated for Walt Disney World Resort’s 50th Anniversary later this year
- Tomorrowland’s Coca-Coola Cool Ship is receiving a refreshing new coat of paint ahead of Magic Kingdom’s 50th anniversary on October 1, 2021
EPCOT

Disney’s Animal Kingdom
- Inclement weather today in the Orlando area brought heavy winds to Walt Disney World and guests at Disney’s Animal Kingdom were in for a surprise when the gusts caused trees around the theme park to fall, even causing some guests to become stuck on Kilimanjaro Safaris

- Brightline has released a new drone video of progress on their rail expansion from Miami to Orlando International Airport, an extension project stretching 170 miles through Florida
- The costumed Disney performers do a great job interacting with guests but deal with a safety issue: poor visibility; but Disney is experimenting with a solution to solve the visibility problem by filing a patent application with the United States Patent and Trademark Office shows how periscope optics could be used
Shanghai Disney Resort
- Shanghai Disney Resort is celebrating its 5th Anniversary with a “Year of Magical Surprises” and the celebrations started strong with the debut of a new nighttime spectacular called “ILLUMINATE! A Nighttime Celebration”
New Merchandise
- A new Minnie Mouse ear headband has arrived at Walt Disney World with pink and gold sequins of reminding us of the reimagined Cinderella Castle
- Pin traders will be delighted to find brand new large pins that showcase scenes from Disney classic films such as The Sword in the Stone, The Little Mermaid, and Peter Pan
- Grab your Class of 2021 Ear Hat or Ear Headband and celebrate your graduation with the new Mickey and Minnie plush that have just arrived at Walt Disney World
- A wooden chest designed as the Evil Queen’s Heart Box from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs has appeared at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, and it’s sure to behold your heart
- Last summer, reusable shopping bags found throughout Walt Disney World decreased in price and sold for just $1.00 each, regardless of the size but now, the prices have been increased resort-wide, reflecting the previous cost of the bags prior to the resort’s closure in March 2020
- New Black Widow merchandise themed for the Marvel super-spy is hitting the shelves at Disneyland Resort; a Black Widow Loungefly backpack and two T-shirts featuring villain Taskmaster are now available
Entertainment and Media
- Fantastic news today was announced for fans of the popular Indiana Jones series as John Williams, the much-lauded composer, has been confirmed to return for the fifth installment of Indiana Jones and we received a casting update as well
