Walt Disney World
Magic Kingdom
- The stage in front of Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom has been under refurbishment for several weeks now and paneling was recently completed on the stage, followed by a spray-on surfacing, which is now being cured to a new color
- Over in Storybook Circus, repainting continues on Dumbo the Flying Elephant and Casey Jr. Splash āNā Soak Station in anticipation of the 50th anniversary of Magic Kingdom this October
- It was considerably cooler, with a chance of thunderstorms all day, but we made the most of what dry moments we had to check out what might be new here at Magic Kingdom and bring you this most recent photo report
EPCOT
- Yesterday, James Gunn, director of Guardians of the Galaxy, tweeted that filming has yet to begin for the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind attraction in EPCOT
- One of the arms on the centerpiece ring of āHarmoniousā has been partially covered in the same flexible screen material that some of the ring has been covered in
- In order to continue replacing the pavement beneath Spaceship Earth at EPCOT, Pin Trading Headquarters and the Camera Center are now temporarily closed
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
- While Rainforest CafĆ© reopened with the rest of Disneyās Animal Kingdom last July, the restaurantās entrance from inside the park remain closed but as of today, the archway is no longer roped off and guests can make their way into Rainforest CafĆ© from Disneyās Animal Kingdom
- After testing a Plexiglass divider on one boat last month, dividers have been installed on every boat of Naāvi River Journey at Disneyās Animal Kingdom
Disney Springs
- Patina Restaurant Group, the company behind several restaurants at Disney Springs, is looking for new employees in various roles and a $500 sign-on bonus is offered to back-of-house cooks, while front-of-house employees (excluding waitstaff) are eligible for a $300 sign-on bonus
Walt Disney World Resort Hotels
- Construction has been moving quickly on the new Monorail station at Disneyās Polynesian Village Resort with roof installation beginning earlier this month and the walkway connecting the station to the Great Ceremonial House following soon after
Other Walt Disney World News
- Orange County, Florida Mayor Jerry Demings stated in a press conference on Monday that he expects to relax the countyās mask mandate this summer
- Walt Disney World has filed a permit indicating that a new Cast Member entrance will be built between the Transportation and Ticket Center and Disneyās Polynesian Village Resort, off of Seven Seas Drive
Disneyland Resort
- Out-of-state travelers craving California may soon be in luck. A series of policy changes indicate that California may soon allow out-of-state guests who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to visit Southern Californiaās many theme parks
- Weāre ten days away from Disneyland Resort theme parks reopening to California residents. To celebrate this and Memorial Day weekend next month, over fifty Good Neighbor Hotels in the Anaheim area are offering deals to traveler
Disneyland Paris
- Sleeping Beauty Castle (Le ChĆ¢teau de la Belle au Bois Dormant) at Disneyland Paris has been under refurbishment, the first major one since its construction, while the resort remains closed and in February, new turrets were delivered to the castle and now, thanks to OutsidEars, we have a glimpse at even more turrets on their way to the park
New Merchandise
- Earth Day experiences have begun at Disneyās Animal Kingdom so after distantly meeting Russell from Up and watching Koda and Kenai from Brother Bear cruise along the Discovery River, it was time to hit the shops to find the limited release pin for Earth Day 2021 featuring Te Fiti from Moana
- Harveys has introduced a new āPlay in the Parkā collection of bags, now available on shopDisney and in Disney Parks, like at Walt Disney World where guests can find the collection in Uptown Jewelers at Magic Kingdom
- A new Disney Parks icons ear headband by Loungefly has arrived at Walt Disney World, perfect to match the mini backpack and wallet that were released earlier in the year
- A new collection of apparel and merchandise is coming to Disneyland Resort to celebrate that āThe Magic is Backā in California
- Just in time for opening, the new āPlay in the Parkā collection by Harveys has arrived at the Disneyland Resort

- Emilia Clarke, known for her role as Daenerys Targaryen in Game of Thrones, is in final talks to join the cast of Marvelās Secret Invasion series coming to Disney+
