Welcome to a magical day at Walt Disney World! Today we found ourselves exploring the many lands of Magic Kingdom. Join us today as we venture throughout the park to see just what lies in store. Let’s jump in!
Entering The Transportation and Ticket Center this morning, we found that all Monorail lines were down. Guests were encouraged to hop on a Disney Transport Bus or climb aboard one of the many beautiful Ferry Boats.
We said good morning to Mickey and all of his pals while entering Magic Kingdom! Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Daisy, & Donald all had a great time greeting guests and playing, from a distance, with little ones.
Batter up! The brand new Casey’s Corner Baseball Jersey has made its way to Main Street, U.S.A.! We saw the release of this adorable jersey just earlier this week at Disney Springs. We are happy to see it’s now found a spot at Uptown Jewelers, just across from the iconic Disney restaurant itself.
We stopped by to see the man and the mouse who started it all, Walt Disney and Mickey Mouse, at the iconic Partners Statue. This statue is currently under routine maintenance in preparation for the Walt Disney World 50th anniversary celebration.
We trekked over to Adventureland and set our sights on the world-famous Jungle Cruise!
Get ready for some monkey business, as a brand new scene had been added to The Jungle Cruise! This scene features monkeys wreaking havoc onboard a half-sunken boat, as well as on some crates containing butterflies. This scene has replaced the previous “Native Celebration” scene, which contained natives drumming, dancing, and ambushing your boat. To see our full ride through this morning, click here!
Refurbishment continues on the Beauty & The Beast-themed dining location, also in preparation for the 50th anniversary. We recently saw scaffolding erected around the area.
“it’s a small world” has been closed for refurbishment for a few days now, but we are excited to see the beloved attraction return tomorrow on July 30!
“The seaweed is always greener” over at Under the Sea – Journey of The Little Mermaid. Today we found that the attraction is now using Ariel’s Grotto, the former meet and greet spot for Ariel herself, as part of the extended queue. We recently saw the removal of the Ariel’s Grotto sign in this area as well.
TRON Lightcycle / Run construction has ramped up, so take a look! Just a few days ago, we saw the addition of a brand new structure inside the construction area.
Get ready to scream laugh as Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor will be reopening August 8! We can’t wait to see the return of all of our Monstropolis pals very soon.
We said hello to Gaston, Peter Pan, and Mary Poppins as they rode through Frontierland!
New construction walls have started appearing throughout Frontierland. These walls block many of the main storefronts, such as Frontier Trading Post and Prairie Outpost & Supply. Don’t worry; you can still grab yourself some limited edition pins or snatch that perfect magic band, as the stores themselves are still available.
Get ready to set sail with the Jungle Navigation Co. on this all new Jungle Cruise T-Shirt! We’ve previously seen a youth sized shirt of this same design, but today we found an adult version, which also bears a completely different color. These are available at Plaza del Sol Caribe Bazaar for $36.99.
Later in the day, rain started to pour throughout the park. See guests making the most of a magical, rainy day here!
We headed over to Disney’s Contemporary Resort to check out the ongoing lobby refurbishment. Currently, most of the lobby is unavailable, and guests are being directed to check in on the second floor of the resort.
Aloha from Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort!
We decided to check out the construction progress on and around Disney’s Polynesian Resort Monorail Station.
And that brings us to the end of our day! Thank you for joining us on our trip around Walt Disney World! What do you think about all of the recent changes to the Jungle Cruise? Leave a comment below letting us know! Have a great day, everybody; we’ll “see ya real soon!”
