Magic Kingdom
- Hello from a hot and slightly rainy day at the Magic Kingdom! We came to check out what might be new at this magical park, and we found some things to show you in the latest photo report.
- A new steel structure is being constructed next to the TRON Lightcycle / Run coaster at Magic Kingdom.
- The well-known scene of drumming tribal natives was removed as the remainder of the Jungle Cruise attraction in Magic Kingdom continues to be altered.
- The refurbishment of Tomorrowland’s pavement continues to be on the move at the Magic Kingdom.
- New construction walls have appeared outside of Frontierland Mercantile in Frontierland at Magic Kingdom.
EPCOT
- The latest addition to the Disney Fab 50 character statue lineup for the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World is Dante from “Coco.”
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
- Ahead of its scheduled August 2nd reopening at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Pizzafari has modified its menu, including a new sandwich and plant-based item.
Walt Disney World Resort Hotels
- A new policy at Walt Disney World requires guests with split stays (switching from one Walt Disney World Resort Hotel to another mid-vacation) to transfer their own perishable items to and from resorts, a service Bell Services had previously offered.
Other Walt Disney World News
- Orange County, Florida Mayor Jerry Demings has declared a local state of emergency via executive order in wake of the rising COVID-19 cases.
- Mayor Demings expects all local theme parks “to follow the CDC recommended guidelines.”
- We’re just months away from Walt Disney World’s fiftieth anniversary, and the anticipation is spreading. D23 has announced they’re getting in on the fun with four pin sets commemorating the characters that have enthralled guests for decades.
- Walt Disney World Resort has announced another change to their COVID-19 safety policies and will now require masks to be worn indoors regardless of vaccination status beginning July 30.
Disneyland Resort
- After the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recently changed their recommendation to include masking indoors even for the fully vaccinated, the state of California has followed suit.
- New tiki mugs shaped like the iconic Jungle Cruise boats will be sailing into Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar at the Disneyland Hotel in the future.
- A new Mickey and Friends Cavalcade made its way down Main Street, U.S.A., in Disneyland today, featuring music from Tokyo Disneyland.
- Disneyland Resort has also reinstated the indoor mask policy in alignment with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the state of California’s recommendations.
Tokyo Disney Resort
- Available starting September 14th, guests visiting Tokyo Disneyland can pick up a mystery box figure set containing these highlights of The Haunted Mansion!
Disney Cruise Line
- A patient was evacuated by helicopter from the Disney Magic cruise ship sailing in Wales.
New Merchandise
- Today is the “Best Day Ever” because some magical new apparel has arrived in The Emporium at Magic Kingdom!
- We found a gothic new pair of Mickey Mouse ears at Downtown Disney District, perfect for anyone getting ready for Halloween in advance.
- If you’re a fan of classic Disney animation, the latest round of new pins at the Disneyland Resort are picture perfect!
Entertainment and Media
- Disney will be producing a new “Haunted Mansion” movie based on the classic attraction, and LaKeith Stanfield and Tiffany Haddish will star in the ghoulish film.
