Magic Kingdom
- We saw pavement replacement in Tomorrowland and Fantasyland earlier this year, now Adventureland and Frontierland are being refurbished.
- Ferrytale Fireworks: A Sparkling Dessert Cruise is returning to Magic Kingdom on September 18, 2021.
- The Diamond Horseshoe will be reopening on September 12, 2021.
- A new mural featuring Alberta Falls has been erected at the Jungle Cruise in Magic Kingdom for its reimagining.
- Within a matter of days, biometric scanners have made their full return to the theme parks of Walt Disney World.
- With the culturally sensitive enhancements to the Jungle Cruise now complete at the Magic Kingdom, we’ve noticed some “gnu” additions to the queue.
- With today being National Dog Day, it’s only fitting that Pluto has officially been revealed to be part of the Disney Fab 50 Character Collection.
- Just a couple of weeks after it kicked off, Disney After Hours Boo Bash has now completely sold out for the remainder of its run at the Magic Kingdom.
- The façade of Be Our Guest at Magic Kingdom is being refurbished, including repainting some of the mountainous exterior and Beast’s Castle.
EPCOT
- Just weeks ahead of its official opening on October 1st, Disney has revealed the full menu for La Crêperie de Paris.
- For the sixth consecutive day, Living with the Land remains closed at EPCOT.
- Tokyo Dining will be reopening in the Japan Pavilion tomorrow, Friday, August 27.
- Not only did we learn just what special crepes will be available at La Crêperie de Paris when it opens at EPCOT’s France Pavilion, but we also got a very brief look at the interior of this new restaurant!
- To celebrate Disney’s first-ever World Princess Week, new princess-inspired treats can be found, including a “Frozen” Sisters Cookie at Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
- The azure façade of Sunset Club Couture at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is currently undergoing a refurbishment to keep its shine… shiny.
Walt Disney World Resort Hotels
- Welcome back to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge! The resort reopened to all guests today, and we’re staying in one of the newly-remodeled rooms in Jambo House themed to “The Lion King.”
Disneyland Resort
- From September 9 to October 31, Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit, a new scavenger hunt, will be available at Downtown Disney District.
- The Alfresco Tasting Terrace in Disney California Adventure has reopened as the Magic Key Terrace, exclusively for Magic Key Holders.
- The Magic Key pass program began yesterday at Disneyland Resort, and new Key holders can celebrate with premium embroidery featuring the logo.
- Free samples of Boudin sourdough bread are once again being offered at The Bakery Tour in Disney California Adventure!
Disneyland Paris
- Beginning tomorrow, August 27, a number of attractions of Walt Disney Studios Park in Disneyland Paris will be reorganized into a newly rebranded land, “Worlds of Pixar.”
Disney Cruise Line
- Disney Cruise Line is altering the itineraries of select sailings on the Disney Dream in September and October; Four-night sailings will now include a second day at their private island, Castaway Cay, instead of a day at Nassau.
New Merchandise
- Fans of “The Nightmare Before Christmas” will love these shiny new ears inspired by the film that we found in Los Feliz Five & Dime at Disney California Adventure.
- Batter up! If you’re a fan of Casey’s Corner or just the humble hot dog, you can make a great catch with this new purse that’s joined the lineup at Walt Disney World!
- Disneyland Resort has new Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar and other Polynesian merchandise, including artwork and kitchenware.
Entertainment and Media
- To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World, ABC will be airing “The Most Magical Story on Earth: 50 Years of Walt Disney World” on October 1.
- The prequel to the 2019 live-action remake of “The Lion King” has cast its lead roles, with Aaron Pierre (“Old”) voicing Mufasa and Kelvin Harrison Jr. (“Waves”) voicing Scar.
