Disney Springs
- Read our review of the Bacon of Doom and Temple of Bacon which have both returned to Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar at Disney Springs.
- Signage has been added for new ‘Summer House on the Lake’ restaurant ahead of construction in Disney Springs.
Walt Disney World Resort Hotels
- Demolition has begun on the building that once housed Spirit of Aloha at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.
- Walt Disney World Resort hotels have special room rates available to Annual Passholders for most nights from July 8 through September 8.

- We got a first look at Mickey Mouse: The Main Attraction Peter Pan’s Flight Collection from Instagram.
- A new souvenir cup featuring Orange Bird is now available at the Main Street Confectionery in Magic Kingdom.
- A new limited edition MagicBand featuring Orange Bird has arrived at Walt Disney World for the 2022 EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival.
- New limited edition passholder exclusive ’71 Country Bear Jamboree, ‘Lightyear,’ ‘Lilo & Stitch’ 20th Anniversary, and more pins at Walt Disney World
Other Walt Disney World News
- Walt Disney World Resort has released their full guide to special Father’s Day dishes and snacks available this year.
- We saw a Minnie Van at Disney’s Beach Club Resort this week for testing ahead of the official return of the service on June 29.
Disneyland Resort
- The Darth Sidious legacy lightsaber hilt is now available at Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland.
- As part of the promotion for “Obi-Wan Kenobi,” currently airing weekly on Disney+, Darth Vader has returned to Tomorrowland in Disneyland for a limited time.
- Several new limited edition and limited release pins, including pins for the release of “Lightyear” and the 20th anniversary of “Lilo & Stitch” arrived at Disneyland Resort this week.
Disneyland Paris
- Avengers Campus at Walt Disney Studios Park in Paris opens on July 20, and a first look at the new, and heavily touted, Iron Man audio-animatronic has surfaced.
- Planet Hollywood at Disney Village in Disneyland Paris will close permanently on January 7, 2023.
Shanghai Disneyland
- Disneytown and Shanghai Disneyland Hotel at Shanghai Disney Resort will reopen on June 16, 2022.
Hong Kong Disneyland
- The newest in Disney’s oeuvre of nighttime spectaculars, “Momentous”, has finally debuted at Hong Kong Disneyland! And we have a full video of the new nighttime spectacular!
Entertainment and Media
- The new Pixar film ‘Lightyear’ is banned in 14 Middle Eastern and Asian countries due to a same-sex kiss.
The Walt Disney Company
- Adventures by Disney has announced Disney Parks Around The World – A Private Jet Adventure, a new itinerary that visits every Disney theme park.
- Stock for The Walt Disney Company has dropped below $100 for the first time since March 2020.
- The Walt Disney Archives will be hosting an exhibit about the 100-year history of The Walt Disney Company at this year’s D23 Expo, as well as panels, presentations, and an exhibit focused on Walt Disney’s airplane.
- The Walt Disney Company has delayed their plan to move Walt Disney Imagineering, consumer products, and other departments to Lake Nona until mid-2026.
- Congressional Republicans continue to try and strip Disney of their no-fly zones above the Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resorts, but their efforts may be futile.
