How Long is the Disneyland 70th Anniversary Celebration?
The Disneyland Resort 70th Anniversary Celebration began on May 16, 2025, and will run through the summer of 2026. Disney has not announced an exact end date. The actual 70th anniversary date was July 17, 2025.
Disneyland 70th Anniversary Maps

In May, Disneyland Resort released new guidemaps for both parks featuring the 70th anniversary logo. The 70th anniversary family adventure maps highlight family-friendly attractions and offerings at each park.

On the actual 70th anniversary date, Cast Members handed out commemorative maps for Disneyland and Disney California Adventure, as well as buttons and stickers.
70th Anniversary Decorations
The main colors of the decoration are vibrant pink, royal blue, orange-gold, purple, and yellow. This color scheme is used for most of the 70th anniversary decorations.
Disneyland Park

At the entrance to Disneyland are colorful flags. The Mickey flowerbed is in the 70th anniversary colors. There is a medallion at the top of the flowerbed and bunting on the Main Street, U.S.A. train station.

Sleeping Beauty Castle is adorned with a 70th anniversary medallion and bunting. Special banners and trumpet decorations are along the bridge.

The Main Street vehicles have colorful 70th anniversary bunting.
Disney California Adventure

At Disney California Adventure, similar bunting and banners line Buena Vista Street. Carthay Circle has its own 70th anniversary medallion.

There are 70th anniversary vintage-style posters in Hyperion Courtyard.

Fence tables in Grizzly Peak have 70th anniversary covers.
Esplanade, Downtown Disney District, & Hotels

A 50-foot castle-inspired sculpture is in the center of the esplanade between Disneyland and Disney California Adventure. It features pink, blue, and yellow stained glass panels, and icons representing each of the original Disneyland Park lands. The Partners icon had to be replaced because Walt looked like Donald Trump.
The esplanade also has an updated music loop and banners on the lampposts. The tram route is lined with more anniversary banners. The tram spiel was also updated and includes reference to the 70th anniversary celebration.

A Disneyland Monorail has a 70th anniversary wrap.
There are 70th anniversary decorations around the Disneyland Hotel entrance and a 70th anniversary Medallion in the Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel lobby.

In Downtown Disney District, there is a 70th anniversary mural, signs, and medallions. Disney Storyland Boutique got a retro 70th anniversary overlay.
Disneyland Park Entertainment & Attractions
Much of the resort’s 70th anniversary entertainment features the celebration’s Celebrate Happy theme song performed by the Jonas Brothers. The song is included on a soundtrack of 70th anniversary music.
Disneyland Band March

During their march along with the Disneyland Band, Mickey and Friends now wear their 70th anniversary costumes.
Celebrate Happy Cavalcade

The Celebrate Happy Cavalcade also features Mickey and Friends, along with Duffy and ShellieMay in their Disneyland debut, and Disney Princesses. Duffy and ShellieMay don’t have meet and greets but do wear special 70th anniversary costumes for the cavalcade. It is performed on the parade route at 1:30 p.m. and 2:45 p.m. most days (weather permitting).
The Celebrate Happy cavalcade will pause performances after August 21 to make way for the Mickey and Friends Halloween cavalcade.
Paint the Night Parade

Paint the Night Parade returned to Disneyland. It originally premiered for the resort’s 60th anniversary in 2015. The updated version includes the 70th anniversary logo appearing on the drum float. Performers also have updated costumes and there are no more light-up wigs. There is a Paint the Night Dining Package available.

Several attractions have closed or will close for refurbishments this year, including Matterhorn Bobsleds, Star Tours, Storybook Land Canal Boats, and Incredicoaster.
Walt Disney – A Magical Life

A brand new Walt Disney Audio-Animatronic show, Walt Disney – A Magical Life, opened at the Main Street Opera House on July 17, alongside new exhibits in the Opera House lobby. The building got a new marquee and historical plaque, plus an attraction poster for the new show.

Although Walt Disney’s granddaughter Joanna Miller was outspoken against the first-ever Walt Disney animatronic, most of his living family approved of the figure. Three generations of the Disney family viewed the show before opening day.
The show is performed continuously at the opera house, temporarily replacing Great Moments With Mr. Lincoln. The Lincoln show will return after the initial run of the Walt Disney show (an exact date has not been announced) and the two will perform in rotation.

If Walt Disney – A Magical Life cannot perform for any reason, Great Moments With Mr. Lincoln may be performed instead. The Walt Disney animatronic did break down mid-show on its first day, but the show has operated smoothly since. Great Moments With Mr. Lincoln will have a new set when it returns.

The animatronic incorporates several “moonshots” to be Imagineering’s most advanced figure yet. It performs for about three minutes after a presentation of the updated 15-minute Walt Disney: One Man’s Dream documentary, narrated by Disney CEO Bob Iger.
The attraction used a virtual queue on opening day but switched to standby later that week, only using virtual queue if needed.
Watch our video of the full Walt Disney Audio-Animatronic performance below.
