Additional Disney Park Pass Reservation Availability to be Released on Friday for Annual Passholders

After seeing the frustration that the Disney Park Pass system initially caused for Disney Resort Guests yesterday, followed by the stress of watching slots get fully booked up at specific parks, many Annual Passholders are dreading this upcoming Friday, which is when they’ll be able to make their three allotted theme park reservations. However, Disney has confirmed that additional reservation slots will be released on June 26 for Annual Passholders.

This confirmation comes to us by way of Scott Gustin on Twitter, who reached out to Disney after seeing that Disney’s Animal Kingdom was already fully booked on July 14, and no reservation slots at all remained at Disney’s Hollywood Studios through July 17.

While those dates are still unavailable for Disney Resort Guests, on Friday, additional spots will open up for Annual Passholders. To check for Disney Park Pass availability, you can take a look at the calendar here.

If you’re looking to make reservations, you can check out our step-by-step guide here. Do note that reservations are only currently open for Disney Resort Guests with valid admission. On June 26, reservations will open for Annual Passholders, and on June 28, all other existing ticket holders can start booking reservations.

It can be assumed that Disney may also hold a set of time slots for when reservations open again on June 28 for existing ticket holders, but that still remains unconfirmed.

  1. We are DVC/AP. Tried yesterday and got into the system. However, if your AP will expire before the scheduled trip, you CANNOT get reservations, but also CANNOT renew your pass, as it is not in ‘renewal window’ making it impossible to use the AP to book! I love Disney, but am so disappointed in how much they have bungled it all. Saw this as a potential issue, spent 5 hours on the phone Saturday and was ASSURED the system would assume we would renew. 8 hours on phone yesterday, final answer… ‘Maybe there will be spots left when you can renew, in NOVEMBER… good luck.

  2. It should be pointed out that if you have a Disney hotel reservation but never bought tickets, you are completely out of luck. Why Disney didn’t allow those people to purchase tickets/make reservations is beyond me.

    • It’s so frustrating! I wasn’t ready to buy park tickets back in February when I reserved my DVC room and got my flights. Now I can’t even buy park tickets since no one is selling them yet. Not going to keep my trip if I can’t get tickets or get into any Disney parks. They need to let us buy park tickets already!

  3. When will a ticket holder be able to make a park entry reservation after having made the initial 3? After one is used? or after all 3 initial reservations are used?

  4. Any word on when they’ll start to sell park tickets again for this year? I still don’t have park tickets for November trip and can’t make park reservations until I do.
