Guests Staying at Disney’s Beach Club Resort to Have Access to Disney’s BoardWalk Pool

Yesterday, Walt Disney World released new policies regarding the reopening of the resorts, from transportation, to housekeeping, resort amenities, and theme park access.

Among the new policies, it was announced that the popular Stormalong Bay, the sand-bottom pool that can be found at Disney’s Beach Club Resort, will be closed when the resort reopens.

To help compensate for this, Disney has announced that Guests staying at Disney’s Beach Club Resort will be allowed to use the Luna Park Pool and leisure pool at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn. This is not the first time that Guests have been allowed to do this, as when Stormalong Bay was under refurbishment recently, Guests were allowed to use the Luna Park Pool then as well.

So, while Stormalong Bay will be closed, at least Guests will still be able to use a pool during their visit. Just keep in mind that feature pools may be operating under reduced hours and capacity to allow for social distancing.

Continue to follow along with us at WDWNT as we continue to cover the Disney Parks reopening around the world.

  1. I have rervations at the Beach Club beginning 7/19 through 7-26, and we love the Storm a long Bay Pool. Will WDW consider switching our reservation to another resort like Wilderness Lodge, Polynesian or Riviera. We do not enjoy the Boardwalk.

We have stayed at the Beach or Yacht Club 15+ times and we will want to cool off at the pool.

    Thank you.
