Magic Kingdom
- With the new reopening date of April 3rd rapidly approaching, testing continues at the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover at the Magic Kingdom
- Painting has begun at Casey Jr.’s Splash ‘N’ Soak Station at the Magic Kingdom as the park continues to prepare for its 50th birthday
- It seems Prince Charming Regal Carrousel is next on the list for refurbishment ahead of the park’s 50th anniversary later this year, as the images from Disney’s Cinderella around the top of the carrousel are being replaced and the gold leaf surrounding them are being refreshed
- With The Chapeau on Main Street, U.S.A. at Magic Kingdom closed due to refurbishment, Box Office Gifts/Curtain Call Collectibles is now acting as the primary headwear location where guests can find ears and hats “with character”
- The Main Street Confectionery is now closed for a few months to be remodeled and expanded into The Chapeau, but guests shopping on Main Street U.S.A. at the Magic Kingdom can get their candy fix at the Main Street Cinema
- Join us on a hot but beautiful day here at Walt Disney World as we hop from the Magic Kingdom over to Disney Springs to see all that’s new and good to bring you in this photo report
- While most of the interior remains intact at the Cinema, one noticeable change is that the Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom game portal has been removed
EPCOT
- As the former Innoventions East prepares to become part of World Celebration, construction plugs along with new scaffolding in the breezeway and work being done on the roof of the structure that once housed MouseGear, Electric Umbrella, and Innoventions
- The pavement beneath Spaceship Earth at EPCOT is being replaced section-by-section to better match the rest of the refurbished entrance area and now, construction walls have been erected around the next section of pavement to be replaced
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
- After a nearly three-month long refurbishment, Kali River Rapids has reopened in Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Other Walt Disney World News
- The Biden administration is reportedly working with private companies to develop some sort of “vaccine passport” or “vaccine credentials” that would allow people to prove they have been vaccinated
- Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has spoken out against the “vaccine passports” currently under consideration by the Biden administration, saying it is “completely unacceptable” for the government or a private sector to implement a “vaccine passport” for movies, sporting events, and theme parks and that he will be taking an emergency, executive action later this week to effectively ban “vaccine passports” in the state
Tokyo Disney Resort
- While the return of parades at Tokyo Disneyland on March 27th didn’t come to pass, it seems one part of that rumor may yet—the Broadway Music Theatre at Tokyo DisneySea, home to Big Band Beat, is holding “Open Rehearsals” today

- Fans of Winnie the Pooh will love this new mug now available at Disneyland Resort as it not only features everyone’s favorite silly old bear but also comes with a honey stick

- Though originally meant to be a surprise cameo, Deadline has confirmed that Russell Crowe has a role in the upcoming Thor: Love and Thunder after he was spotted in set photos

- “Obi-Wan Kenobi,” the new Disney+ special event series starring Ewan McGregor as the iconic Jedi Master, will begin shooting in April and with production ramping up to begin, the cast list has been announced
