Walt Disney World

Magic Kingdom

• Come join us and see how we spent our day looking for what’s new and what’s good in this park hopping photo report in Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Hollywood Studios
• The stage in front of Cinderella Castle has been blocked from guest view for almost a month now in preparations for an “earidescent” transformation in honor of the 50th Anniversary of the Walt Disney World Resort and recently, we noticed that weather-proofing was added to the castle stage

EPCOT

• We stopped in at EPCOT for the first weekend of the 2021 Taste of EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, before heading over to Disney’s Hollywood Studios for a new sweet treat that we simply couldn’t get at EPCOT, and we want you to come along in this photo report
• The entrance to EPCOT has been completely reimagined amidst a major refurbishment of the entirety of (what for now is) Future World and now work has moved to the pavement closer to Gateway Gifts beneath Spaceship Earth
• The demolition of Innoventions West continues at EPCOT as structural supports and metal framing continue to be dismantled while the entire area is under construction as part of the newly reimagined EPCOT
• The façade of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind has been completely covered in blue sheeting, which protects the building from the elements, and a peek over the construction walls gave us a look at some new temporary doors that have been installed

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

• After reporting last month that a permit was filed for its signage, we noticed today that construction on Roundup Rodeo BBQ has quietly continued at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

• Even though COVID-19 cases are dropping nationwide, Walt Disney World continues to add health and safety measures to its attractions and today, we noticed one Na’vi River Journey boat has had plexiglass installed between its rows

Walt Disney World Resort Hotels

• Construction continues on the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser hotel and thanks to Jonathan Salazar, we got a look at some updated aerial construction photos to see that landscaping is being added to the grounds of the new resort
• St. Patrick’s Day is just around the corner and there’s a brand new dessert to celebrate the holiday — Luck of the Irish Coffee Panna Cotta at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort

Other Walt Disney World News

• While standard Park Hopper tickets were made available again in January, the Park Hopper Plus option has finally become available again with the reopening of Disney’s Blizzard Beach
• Disney has announced all of the limited-time St. Patrick’s Day treats coming to Disney Springs, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and Walt Disney World hotels in the next week
• As we reported yesterday, Park Passes for Theme Park Tickets Guests and Resort Guests are fully booked from March 15 through 18, and now some of those days are booked for Annual Passholders as well

• A heartwarming promotional video was released today as part of a new marketing campaign for the Walt Disney World Resort to encourage guests who have been avoiding theme parks due to the COVID-19 pandemic to begin booking their trips for “tomorrow”
• According to a statement released by the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority, Orlando International Airport (MCO) expects over 600,000 more spring break travelers year-over-year

Disneyland Resort

• Disneyland has released a full foodie guide to all of the limited-time treats that will be available for St. Patrick’s Day in the next two weeks
• One of these limited-time treats is the Shamrock Krispy, available at both Marceline’s Confectionary in Downtown Disney District and Trolley Treats in Disney California Adventure, and we have your full review here
• The “WandaVision” photo-op at Disneyland Resort has been popular the last month as fans of the show get that perfect picture and now a new item has been added to the pseudo-set: Agatha Harkness’ director chair

Disney Cruise Line

• Multiple passengers from Utah and Arizona are suing Disney Cruise Line, claiming they caught COVID-19 while onboard the Disney Fantasy in March 2020, before cruises were paused

New Merchandise

• As we reported a few days ago, a new Dooney & Bourke collection inspired by the animated Robin Hood is now available at Walt Disney World, and now we can share a close-up look at the collection
• There’s a brand new Mickey Mouse balloon ear headband available on shopDisney and while the last pair of Mickey balloon ears had red balloons on a black headband, these new ears are more colorful
• That brand new pair of light-up Mickey Balloon ears has also popped up in the Disneyland Resort
• A brand new face mask is available at Walt Disney World, and fans of rose gold and Spirit Jerseys will be excited for this new addition
• A brand new collection of apparel has arrived at Walt Disney World including a hooded long sleeve tee, a short sleeve baseball tee, and a pair of joggers all featuring Mickey Mouse and a fun newspaper print

• Two brand new Limited Release Posters will be available on shopDisney next week, and whether you prefer to live with the land or the seas, these retro inspired posters shouldn’t be missed
• If you watched the finale of “WandaVision” on Disney+, then you’ll remember Wanda Maximoff’s new Scarlet Witch costume and now a special edition Scarlet Witch doll wearing the new costume is available on shopDisney

The Walt Disney Company

• Walt Disney Company (DIS) shares reached a new level today, closing at $201.91, flying high on news that Disneyland is cleared to reopen as soon as April 1, 2021
