Magic Kingdom

- Private Disney PhotoPass sessions at Cinderella Castle are now bookable through My Disney Experience App and online
- Cinderella Castle is being decked out for “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” at Magic Kingdom and now decorating is going vertical, as turret-cap decorations are added
- Signs enforcing photos with masks on have been removed from Magic Kingdom as the Disney face-covering policy changed as of today
- With the mask mandate at the parks starting to relax, the Magic Kingdom has changed the audio reminder informing guests of the new COVID-19 safety mandates currently in place
EPCOT
- Officially beginning today, Walt Disney World has relaxed its COVID-19 mask mandate to allow guests to take mask-less photos outdoors, and now mask reminder stickers have been removed from the grounds around EPCOT
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
- Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway in Disney’s Hollywood Studios has a new sign at the attraction’s standby entrance
- The character banners lining the “Fantasmic!” queue at Disney’s Hollywood Studios have been replaced with new versions
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
- In our photo report, we found a new Yeti sundae, an Earth Month whale sculpture, some new merchandise, and more
Other Walt Disney World News
- Captain Minnie Mouse will be featured on the bow of the Disney Wish Cruise Ship
- Disney is selling the 468-unit Vista Way apartment complex located near Walt Disney World, Orlando Business Journal reports
- Disney’s new MagicMobile service was rolled out to Apple users at the end of March and now, according to Scott Gustin on Twitter, the service will be available to Android users by the end of April
- Mears announces “Mear Connect”, a new direct-express airport-to-Disney Resort service scheduled to fill the Magical Express void in 2022
- Disney Parks Chairman Josh D’Amaro has confirmed that Disney Genie, a digital trip-planning tool, is still in development and is coming soon to Walt Disney World
- During the “A Special Look Inside Disney Parks” virtual event today, Disney Parks Chairman Josh D’Amaro showcased a “real” Star Wars lightsaber for future use at Disney Parks
- We recently brought you an exclusive photo and video tour of Heritage Auctions’ “Art of the Disney Theme Park” auction, which takes place April 8 – 10, 2021 and we even recently perused a book showing plans for the Disney’s America theme park that was cancelled in the 1990’s. During our visit to Dallas, two more books caught our eye.

- After being delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, MARVEL Avengers Campus will finally be opening at Disney California Adventure on June 4, 2021
- As we’ve all been anticipating, Avengers Campus – an entirely new land dedicated to discovering, recruiting, and training the next generation of Super Heroes – will open June 4, 2021, at the Disneyland Resort and we have a first look
Disneyland Paris
- Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland Paris is being refurbished like a historical monument by skilled artisans during its big first makeover
Shanghai Disneyland
- Shanghai Disney Resort has officially begun its 5th anniversary “Year of Magical Surprises” celebration and today we received more information on what to expect from the celebration
New Merchandise
- If you’re looking for a new cuddly friend, five new plush have arrived at World of Disney at Disneyland Resort, featuring Winnie the Pooh, Bambi, Marie, Dumbo, and Meeko, these plush have a unique look, making them a must-have for collectors
The Walt Disney Company
- During an interview with CNN Business, Disney Parks Chairman Josh D’Amaro spoke on the future of Disney Parks in the midst of preparations for the 50th Anniversary of the Walt Disney World Resort.
