Good morning and welcome to a magical kind of day at Walt Disney World! Today had tons of surprises in store for us, so follow us around to learn about each and every one of them. Let’s jump in!
Walking in to Magic Kingdom this morning we were greeted by some incredibly beautiful Halloween and fall decor. The seasonal decorations always add just a little bit more magic to Main Street U.S.A.
We found Mickey and friends enjoying the new decor this morning as well!
We set our sights towards Columbia Harbour House. This quick-service restaurant has been unavailable for over a year, and even acted as an extended queue for Peter Pan’s Flight and a Cast Member break area for a period of time. Guests and Cast Members alike were thrilled for the reopening of this dining location today.
We decided to check up on Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant, which offered selections from the Columbia Harbour House menu during its closure. This quick service location is now closed.
While in Tomorrowland, we went to take a look at the TRON Lightcycle / Run construction site. We continue to see progress on the brand new structure that was recently found inside the construction area.
“The future of energy is a joke” over at Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor! We found that this hilarious attraction unexpectedly opened its doors to parkgoers once again today for the first time since March 2020. The show was originally set for a grand return on August 8th, but we were lucky enough to snag a seat at the soft-opening. We’re very happy to see Mike and all of his comedic companions return to the stage!
We recently saw scaffolding pop up over at Splash Mountain. This iconic attraction is slated to be re-themed to The Princess and the Frog, but no dates for this change have been announced.
We also saw scrim pop up across the way at Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe. Multiple exteriors around the area have seen refurbishment recently in preparation for Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary.
Before heading out, we stopped and said hello to some royal princesses, who also seemed to be enjoying the brand new autumn atmosphere.
Over at Disney’s Contemporary Resort we saw the addition of lots of new scrim on the lower exterior level. To see all of the areas under refurbishment at the resort, check out our update here.
We continue to see various construction walls, drapes, and tarps throughout the interior of the resort as well.
That brings us to the end of our day! We hope you enjoyed following us around the wonderful Magic Kingdom. Are you excited to see certain experiences return throughout Walt Disney World? Which would you like to see next? Let us know in the comments below! Have a great day everybody. We’ll “See ya real soon!”
