- Walt Disney World has discontinued fireworks and nighttime spectaculars during the pandemic but for Disney Parks fans missing the amazing holiday fireworks, a virtual option is now available as Disney Parks Blog has posted a recorded version of “Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks” from the Magic Kingdom
- Join us on our photo tour of the Magic Kingdom as we see some roof panels that have been removed from Main Street Station, more track laid in Fantasyland, iPhone mini cases arrive, and more
EPCOT

- Overnight, the first of five enormous floating platforms for EPCOT’s new nighttime show Harmonious was moved into position on World Showcase Lagoon to begin testing of its onboard show equipment
- The Waffles booth has reopened at the Taste of EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays with new menu items, and we have a couple of great reviews of the new gingerbread waffle and turkey and waffle dishes
- The Taste of EPCOT International Festival of the Arts will be returning from January 8, 2021, to February 22, 2021 and although the festival may not look the same as in years past, Disney Parks Blog has announced some new experiences to make it special
Walt Disney World Resort Hotels

- During their Condominium Association Meeting, Disney Vacation Club revealed their updated schedule for refurbishing and “refreshing” various resort villas in the next two years, DVCNews reports, including remodeled rooms coming to Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge in 2022, “soft goods” updates announced for Grand Floridian, Polynesian, Beach Club, and more

- runDisney has announced that the 2021 Star Wars Rival Run Weekend will now be virtual instead of in-person
- Walt Disney World has released operating hours for all four theme parks through February 27, 2021
- Disney Park Pass availability has been refreshed for the last two weeks of December for all guests
- Walt Disney World is treating guests to several “seasonal savings” this month, including buy one, get one free Disney Princess dresses
Disneyland Resort
- According to Disneyland Resort’s calendar, Downtown Disney District and Buena Vista Street will not be open on Christmas day
Tokyo Disney Resort

- We were able to visit Tokyo DisneySea on this dreary Saturday to find a rather quiet park, uncharacteristic for a weekend, and see the latest developments, so join us on our photo tour to see the best of the park
- While traditional character meet and greets have resumed with social distancing in mind at Tokyo Disney Resort, greeting parades and harbor shows are still the norm for meeting some of your favorite characters, like seeing the Transit Steamer Greeting featuring friends from Toy Story, including Woody, Buzz, Jessie, and Bo Peep

- If you’re a fan of willy, nilly, silly old bears, then you’ll want to be at Walt Disney World on December 14 for the release of a new Winnie the Pooh Dooney & Bourke collection
- If you already have your holiday charms on your Pandora bracelet, then it’s time to add one for the new year — a 2021 Pandora charm is now available at Walt Disney World
- We’re only a few weeks away from the new year, and Disneyland Resort is getting ready with tons of new 2021 merchandise, including apparel, an ear headband, toys, and more
- A new Loungefly bag featuring Mickey, Minnie, and Disney Parks snacks is now available at Walt Disney World

- During the Marvel Studios portion of yesterday’s Disney Investor Day event, Kevin Feige announced that Marvel Studios will be exploring new territory with “The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special” coming to Disney+ Holiday 2022
- During the Lucasfilm portion of the Disney Investor Day 2020 event, Kathleen Kennedy introduced fans to a new “Star Wars” event series centered around Lando Calrissian
- Kathleen Kennedy, President of Lucasfilm, also announced two brand-new “Star Wars” theatrical films at the recent Disney Investor Day 2020 event — an untitled Star Wars Film by Taika Waititi and “Star Wars: Rogue Squadron,” to be directed by Patty Jenkins

- The Lucasfilm portion of the Disney Investor Day 2020 event brought about a lot of surprises, including one of the briefly discussed, yet quite interesting Disney+ shows talked about — “The Acolyte”
- Also during the Investor Day 2020 event, Disney announced that the live-action remake of Peter Pan titled “Peter Pan & Wendy” will be releasing exclusively on Disney+
- “The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild” was announced at Disney Investor Day as another film coming to Disney+, and it will focus on the possum brothers Crash and Eddie as well as the title character, Buck Wild the weasel
- A third film in the “Sister Act” franchise was announced for Disney+ at the Disney Investor Day 2020 event, with Whoopi Goldberg onboard to star and produce in the film and Tyler Perry attached as a producer
- Yesterday at the Disney Investor Day 2020 event, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige shared an exclusive first look at the new animated series, “What If…?,” coming to Disney+ in Summer 2021
