Magic Kingdom

- The Main Street Confectionery is closing on March 29, 2021 for an extended refurbishment, lasting until at least May 22, 2021
- The Main Street Cinema, located next door to the Confectionery, is scheduled to close March 22 through March 28 to temporarily transform the Cinema into a makeshift Confectionery during the extended refurbishment
- Each day is steadily getting warmer as we recover from the cold snap we had last week and weekend and while today started out a little chilly, it warmed up nicely with a pleasant breeze — perfect park-going weather to bring you along to the Magic Kingdom in this photo report
- Cinderella Castle is receiving a transformation just in time for the 50th Anniversary of the Walt Disney World Resort and while the castle stage had been stripped bare recently, we are happy to report this morning that the framework is laid for the new stage flooring
- With Walt Disney World getting ready for spring break crowds, two popular Magic Kingdom attractions have resumed loading every row — Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
- Walt Disney Imagineering has just shared a first look at the actual decoration that will adorn Cinderella Castle at the Magic Kingdom for the 50th anniversary of the park, “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” beginning October 1st, 2021
EPCOT

- Now that we know that Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure will begin serving up fun on October 1st, Park Pass Reservations for the day at EPCOT have become a hot item and they are now fully booked for Annual Passholders
- The Italy Pavilion in EPCOT is getting a new gelato stand — La Gelateria — and today, we got a peek at the façade of the new stand, as well as a look inside the window to see the decorative tile facing
- Work continues to move along on the façade of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT as wood paneling is now being installed on the far right wall, which stretches down from the facade’s ceiling
- The park hours for EPCOT have been extended for tomorrow, March 11, to operate from 11am until 9pm
- Greetings, World Travelers, from a lovely but windy day here at EPCOT where we had a nice quiet day taking in all the sights, sounds, and, periodically, tastes of the new International Flower & Garden Festival, and we want you to come along in this most recent photo report
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
- The Na’vi River Journey at Disney’s Animal Kingdom received plexiglass dividers for at least one boat recently and now, the loading platform in the queue also has plexiglass dividers installed
Other Walt Disney World News

- A change to the Park Pass reservation system has been made to make the process less confusing — beginning today, the “Disney Resort Guests” category has been renamed to “Select Resort Hotels”
- As WDWNT recently learned, the Park Pass reservation system prioritizes certain group categories over others, with availability now favoring Annual Passholders
- Spring is springing up all around Walt Disney World, and with that brings the return of spring break crowds, leading to Park Passes now being fully booked for all ticket types from Saturday, March 13th to Friday, March 19th for all four parks
Disneyland Resort
- The Downtown Disney District will have extended hours beginning March 18 as the already popular “A Touch of Disney” events begin
- During the D23 and Walt Disney Imagineering Magical Milestones presentation celebrating the 20th anniversary of Disney California Adventure, some new details were shared about the upcoming Avengers Campus land by those working on the project
Disneyland Paris

- It’s been over three years since Disney officially announced plans to expand and refurbish Disney Village at Disneyland Paris and since then, details have been kept relatively quiet as to what that may entail, but thanks to our friends at OutsidEars, we have a look at a possible masterplan for the overhaul of this shopping, dining and entertainment district
Disney Cruise Line
- Lighthouse Point, a proposed second Disney Cruise Line exclusive Bahamian destination, has been found to have no significant (negative) impact on the island’s environment according to an Environmental Impact Assessment recently released
New Merchandise
- Fanciful illustrations featuring characters from Robin Hood adorn the latest Dooney & Bourke bag collection, which can now be found at the Disneyland Resort
- Whether you want a better grip on your mobile device or want it to look a little more stylish, these new PopSockets and PopWallets featuring some of our favorite Disney characters and Disney Parks attractions are sure to pop out

- The Disney Parks Loungefly collection hosts adorable Disney Parks attractions and characters on a brand new mini-backpack and wallet, and now a Minnie Mouse ear headband is available to match
- The Disney Tails pet collection produced a new litter of products today at Disneyland Resort including a new 101 Dalmatians pet Spirit Jersey
- If you ever found yourself in a romantic situation like Ariel, relating to the Little Mermaid has never been easier thanks to the “But daddy, I love him!” hat displaying one of her most famous lines from the film, now available at the Disneyland Resort
