Magic Kingdom
- A mysterious scrim-covered pole has appeared in a corner of Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom beneath the long-closed PeopleMover track
- The final golden turret decoration has been installed on Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom
- As we approach Magic Kingdom’s 50th anniversary only four and a half months away, some areas of the park are getting much-needed refreshes and in addition to the Casey Jr. Splash ‘N’ Soak Station in Storybook Circus, Dumbo the Flying Elephant is being repainted
EPCOT
- The erected walls have come down at the Morocco Pavilion showcasing some new architectural elements that have been worked on over the past few weeks, as a fan-favorite suggestive photo spot has been removed and replaced with a tiny door
- It’s been a while since we’ve seen any permits filed for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT and construction on the project is slow going, but Walt Disney Imagineering has now finally filed the first show element permit for the upcoming attraction
- Construction walls have been removed from the front of Spaceship Earth at EPCOT, revealing the latest round of new pavement beneath the icon
- New “points of light” fixtures are being installed across the face of Spaceship Earth at EPCOT, preparing to turn the icon into a “beacon of magic” for Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary and since yesterday, several more “points of light” have appeared between Spaceship Earth’s Alucobond panels
Disney Springs
- Disney Cruise Line voyages may be paused but guests visiting Disney Springs can now get a taste of the cruise experience as Disney Cruise Line-inspired drinks are now available at Dockside Margaritas
- In addition, a new Disney Cruise Line pop-up shop is arriving in Disney Springs today in the Marketplace Co-Op, where you can shop exclusive Disney Cruise Line merch from now until early September
- Among all of the Disney Cruise Line exclusives in the new pop-up shop is a new line of floral purple merchandise that will inspire you to “seas” every day of spring
- Today, we got a chance to try a new cake flavor at Gideon’s Bakehouse in Disney Springs — the Hazelnut Mocha Double Frosted Cake
Other Walt Disney World News
- A few days ago, Disney announced they were updating the “Disney Look”, the appearance guidelines for Cast Members, and we are now starting to see Cast Members at Walt Disney World embrace these inclusive updates
- Among the many refurbishments taking place across Walt Disney World is the repainting of the Transportation and Ticket Center, which is being painted blue and gold to match Cinderella Castle’s new color scheme and now, a second poster kiosk at the Transportation and Ticket Center has been repainted
Disneyland Resort
- Some issues in the past have created a blanket statement for Disneyland to include in their reopening information guidelines, adding a stipulation that “using profanity or offensive language towards our Cast Members or other Guests” could result in ejection from the park
- Disneyland Resort has announced all of the dining locations that will be open at both theme parks and Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa upon reopening on April 30
New Merchandise
- Four new button-up shirts are available at Walt Disney World that feature all-over prints of different Disney characters and icons
- As Tokyo Disney Resort continues to push out Posey Plush costumes, their next round coming May 27th features a rather unique blue and white cruise garb look for Mickey and the Disney Friends

- Kristen Wiig and Annie Mumolo (Bridesmaids) are teaming to write a spin-off about Cinderella’s evil stepsisters, reports Variety
