Disney’s Hollywood Studios
- Hollywood loves a reboot, and The Hollywood Brown Derby is no exception, as the signature restaurant has received a new menu at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
- We stumbled upon a fun surprise when we entered Disney’s Hollywood Studios today and noticed that Donald and Daisy Duck were waving to guests from the balcony over the restrooms between The Darkroom and Oscar’s Super Service
- “A Celebration of the Festival of the Lion King,” a modified version of Disney’s Animal Kingdom’s famous show that opened last week, and “For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration” at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, will be raising its capacity and reducing physical distancing
- You might notice some changes today as you prepare to enter the Twilight Zone — The Tower of Terror at Disney’s Hollywood Studios has reduced physical distancing measures and is seating every row of the elevator
Walt Disney World Resort Hotels
- Some signs at Disney’s Contemporary Resort have now been altered to no longer specify the amount of physical distancing required, as stickers have been placed over the arrows that indicated six feet or two meters of distancing is required
Other Walt Disney World News
- In an interview with CNBC, Disney CEO Bob Chapek said, “80% of the Cast Members, that we called back who unfortunately we had to furlough,” showed a “willingness and zealotry” to bring magic back to the parks
- Another development in the ongoing cultural sensitivity changes at Jungle Cruise occurred this morning as two t-shirts featuring a Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto logo, a popular Tiki bar at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, were pulled from the shelves at BouTiki, reportedly “to be destroyed”
- Walt Disney World theme park hours have been released from July 25 through July 31, having previously been released through July 24
- As Walt Disney World slowly increases capacity at the theme parks, more and more Cast Members are needed throughout the resort so Walt Disney World has posted several new job openings for both full-time and part-time positions
- Orange County, Florida reached a COVID vaccination rate of 50% of all adults age 16 and over today and so, following the phased plans, Mayor Jerry Demmings has lifted the mandate that required masks outdoors
- During yesterday’s quarterly financial results conference call, Chief Executive Officer Bob Chapek stated that capacity was already being increased, and would continue to be increased, as a result of loosening CDC guidelines and now, we’re seeing those capacity changes reflected in the Park Pass reservation system
- Walt Disney World has announced it will no longer require face coverings for guests outdoors in its parks effective tomorrow, May 15th, 2021
- Despite the change in policy for guests, Cast Members will still need to wear a face covering when outdoors
Disneyland Resort
- According to the OC Register, a version of Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar was mentioned during a DisneylandForward webinar this week
Tokyo Disney Resort
- A new season (even if it starts after the actual holiday) means a new Day Pass design on the Disney Resort Line monorail at Tokyo Disney Resort so in very Tokyo fashion, the Oriental Land Company has introduced an adorable new Disney Easter Day Pass, available from May 12th while supplies last
- Even in quasi-emergencies or gloomy, cloudy days, the Tokyo Disney Resort keeps on chugging so in spite of the rather dismal weather, we figured it’s time to give you a peek of the latest happenings at Tokyo Disneyland in this most recent photo report
- Its been a minute since we checked in on the Fantasy Springs construction site at Tokyo DisneySea, and there’s been quite a bit of progress on the exciting nearly-25 acre expansion set to open in 2023
Disneyland Paris
- We learned late last year that Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show…with Mickey and Friends! was officially closed forever at Disneyland Paris, among other entertainment cutbacks and DLP Report shared on Twitter today that signage for the show is slowly being dismantled at Disney Village
Disney Cruise Line
- Bookings for Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship, Disney Wish, will be available to all guests on May 27, 2021 and guests can start planning today, as pricing for the Disney Wish’s first three sailings is now available
- Meet the Wish Tower Suite, a “first-of-its-kind accommodation” in the forward funnel of the Disney Wish
- Disney Cruise Line guests with sailings booked in July 2021 aboard the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy have been informed that all July sailings from the United States have been cancelled
New Merchandise
- Hydrangea is the latest solid-colored MagicBand to join the lineup this year, now available at Walt Disney World
- Two new limited edition monthly pins have debuted at Disneyland Resort — the first being part of Where Fantasy Grows: A Disney Terrarium Series, and the second is part of the Windows of Main Street, U.S.A. series
- Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway won’t pull into the station at Disneyland until 2023, but you can prepare your outfit for the grand opening now with a new addition to the Disney Parks Loungefly Collection — a Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway mini backpack and matching wallet have arrived at Elias & Co at Disney California Adventure

- The new Marvel Studios series Loki is headed to Disney+ in June, and today Disney released a new poster featuring the God of Mischief
