Magic Kingdom
- Disney announced a few days ago that work on Jungle Cruise’s Walt Disney World makeover would begin while the ride was still in operation and we are now seeing our first major change to the ride at Walt Disney World, with Trader Sam completely removed from the attraction’s final scene
- In anticipation of the 50th anniversary later this year, we have seen some minor pavement work being done throughout Magic Kingdom, and now stone in Fantasyland is being removed
- The Tom Sawyer Island barrel bridge has returned to its place on the island, but it is still closed to park guests at this time
EPCOT
- We recently reported that more construction walls had gone up in the Morocco Pavilion at EPCOT, blocking the back half of the area near Restaurant Marrakesh and today, we have a better look at the scaffolding around a chimney that served as a popular photo spot for many fans
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
- While yesterday we assumed that the recently-blocked-off extended queue area for Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run was being worked, we have since been informed that this is likely where the transportation from the Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser hotel will be dropping off and picking up guests when it opens in the not-too-distant future

- The next runDisney virtual series is celebrating the timeless nature of The Lion King as each 5K honors a different version of the story: the original animated classic, the Broadway musical, and the reimagined “live-action” film
- Orange County Mayor Jerry Demmings commented today on the county’s mask mandate, saying it will likely remain in effect until 50% of the population is vaccinated, which he estimates to be around July 2021
- For Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady, the celebratory fun following the team’s Super Bowl victory hasn’t stopped, and Monday it rocketed into an entirely new orbit when the superstar player spent the day experiencing Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida

- The line of big feet plush appearing at Disney Parks is undeniably cute and the latest addition to the collection — Lucky, of the 101 Dalmatians — has been spotted in Downtown Disney District
- As reported earlier this week, Disney nuiMOs plush of Winnie the Pooh and friends are now available, and these plush of Winnie the Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, and Eeyore have all arrived at Disneyland Resort
- Two new plush celebrating graduation 2021 are available at Disneyland Resort, and they are the perfect gift for any graduate, whether they’re finishing elementary school or college
- New Ray-Bans featuring the one and only Mickey Mouse are looking sleek at Sunglass Hut Island Supply Stand at the Magic Kingdom

- The new issue of Total Film Magazine showcases Emma Stone from the upcoming film, “Cruella”
- On April 4th, 2021, Disney voice actor Mark Elliott, the voice that introduced many of us to our favorite Disney films on home video, passed away

- A new trailer for the upcoming Disney+ series, “Loki,” shows the titular god of mischief joining the timekeepers who make sure time goes the way it’s supposed to

- According to CNBC, Disney is one of several corporations being scrutinized for donating funds to politicians who are now backing laws that are more restrictive towards voting

So did actual head hunters contact Disney to complain about their depiction of Trader Sam?
As a white man, I now demand that every single pirate be removed from the POTC attraction. Each of them depicts whites as stupid drunk idiots. That’s just condescending as all get out. Heck, just close WDW and burn it to the ground. They offend everyone.
Honestly this is a stupider choice than the Seahawks not running the ball in Super Bowl 49.
