Arrival
Guests can enter Magic Kingdom as early as 4:00 p.m. ET and must present valid Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party tickets to receive an event wristband.
At 7:00 p.m., regular park guests are escorted out of the park, and only guests with wristbands are allowed to remain inside.
If you’re already in the park, you can pick up your wristband from the following locations:
- Liberty Square Ticket Office
- Fantasy Faire
- Tortuga Tavern
- Tomorrowland near Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor
Even if you’re in Magic Kingdom, we recommend stopping by the welcome trail as pictured above, to pick up your first treat of the night.
Don’t forget to pick up a guide map (or take a full look inside here).
Trick or Treat Trails
Each guest receives a complimentary trick or treat bag. This year, the bag is a commemorative, reusable bag celebrating the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World.
There are 14 trick or treat trails around the park. You can find them by locating the inflatable totems, as pictured above, which light up at night.

The show has had a few changes this year. The Incredibles are in a car rather than their floats, Vanellope Von Schweetz and Wreck-It-Ralph are in upgraded floats, and Br’er Fox and Br’er Bear have been removed.

See more photos and watch the full show here. We also caught the inclement weather version on a particularly rainy evening — see the altered version here.

We started going to this event in 2018 and this year was unfortunately the most underwhelming of all. Last year, the ticket was less and we received unlimited popcorn, ice cream and most importantly, water included in the ticket price. They did the same for the Christmas Party too. There was a huge assortment of candy and specialty treats throughout the night. I noticed that there were SO few sponsors this year. It was still a great time, but Disney has to recognize that they set a precedent last year with a lower or equivalent ticket price, and my family was beyond disappointed to learn that we didn’t get to gorge on Mickey Ice Cream Sandwiches this year. We plan to go to the Christmas Party too, so hopefully that will play out a little better, although I’m not holding my breath. Also, the carts with water, popcorn and ice cream that are normally distributed throughout the park didn’t open until 8-830pm on 9/23. It was a different vibe this year for sure.
